When El Chan decided to enter the world of tobacco, he wanted to do it LITERALLY. That's why he wanted to experience the process from the seed to the harvest of the leaves, then the drying and fermentation to the aging process. This connecticut blend called RUBIO because of the yellow color of the wrapper, is the only blend of the El Chan line that has tobacco grown here in Puerto Rico. The aging process of this leaf was carried out in Bacardi Rum barrels. The first test was in 2019 and the sweet taste of the rum molasses was present. Rubio's name was given in honor of Team Rubio from Puerto Rico that was formed for the World Baseball Classic back in 2017. That team was a dream and that's why we dedicate this cigar to them.
